I'm headed to Temple University to visit the Masters of Landscape Architecture program as part of an LAAB accreditation team. I volunteered for this back in spring, before I had a new puppy and before I felt the end of season pressure of tasks needing to be accomplished. This morning it was a beautiful and frosty 32°F.... winter is coming!

I have learned that when I feel swamped and pressed for time... that's when it is most important to take breaks! Lots of mini-breaks, 20 seconds to 2 minutes long (like the breaks we take during a Feldi lesson!) to give my brain a moment to reset, focus, and plan my next task for maximum efficiency. It means less mistakes, no aimless wandering, and no extraneous or unnecessary effort.
It works every time!
It also helps to know what things are essential and what you can let go of... which is another strategy we practice in our lessons!
