Procrastination is telling you something...

...if you can listen without judgment.

I used to have a real problem with procrastination, and then I'd feel guilty for "being lazy" and eventually, after hours/ days of berating myself, at the last possible moment, I'd force myself to push through... which is not the most pleasant way to get things done.

Now, by expanding my Feldi practice into everyday life, I realize that procrastination is one way that my inner voice tells me something is not right.

Instead of beating myself up, I practice self-inquiry to explore what is causing the internal resistance. Sometimes it's fear, or fatigue, or dissatisfaction, or boredom.

Like creative doodling on a concept drawing, or like the novel movements done in a Feldi lesson, it can be a surprising quick fix, but often it's deep and subtle, and it demands that I take time to sit with it, and allow myself to be "lazy" for a moment, without judgement.

Taking the time to listen allows wisdom to emerge, and guides me when I need to change something up. It gently and effectively dissolves the obstacle(s) of resistance without resorting to self-violence.
